This little guy is learning to fly and has been hanging around my patio for two days. The parents are always close by, and taking care of the feeding.
As I was sitting on the patio, the chick came flying and landed on my thigh, and stayed there for over 10 minutes chirping, "Mommy... pappy!"
I have no idea what type of bird this is. It's the first time I see one of them. Hope you like the pictures.
EDIT: entropy_house, member of backyard_birds, has identified it as a blue-gray tanager.
